Vicar 7 (she/her) is elated to serve as a pastoral intern at Highlands Lutheran Church and New Beginnings Worshipping Community Inside Denver Correctional from Jan 2025 - Aug 2026. 7 is a Master of Divinity student at Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University. She is a proud member of Proclaim, a community for LGBTQ+ clergy and candidates for ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She calls Columbus, OH home.
7 loves Jesus so much it makes it weird sometimes. Her religious background is complicated and makes for a great story. She loves helping people learn to pray and find spiritual practices that work for them. She also likes the Bible a weird amount. These qualities earned her the nickname “the little preacher” at the age of three. She also drinks a lot of coffee.
7’s professional pre-seminary experience includes business development for mental health and substance abuse treatment providers, healthcare revenue management, youth ministry, and community mission coordination. She has worked in urban and rural emergency rooms, inpatient mental and substance abuse treatment centers, Appalachian “hollers”, churches in farming communities and suburbs, with immigrants and refugees starting over in the city, and houseless and other economically disadvantaged communities in urban settings. She has additional volunteer experience in some of those areas as well as mission work in Central Asia.
7 is in long-term recovery — from a lot of things, but substance abuse, disordered eating, religious trauma, and family of origin issues top the list. She is the founder and “Main Mischief Maker” of Odd Grace Community — a new, experimental, online, ministry for and by people in recovery.

In addition to being excited about ministry opportunities in Denver, 7 is looking forward to being in such a beautiful place with thriving roller skating and arts communities. She loves all things creative and hopes to both improve her skating skills and learn to snowboard. She also loves her cats, Cyril and Methodius, who do not roller skate and will not be learning to snowboard.
