We love when you bring your little, and not so little, ones to church! Children, their squirms, and joyful noise, are a welcome addition to the worship experience. There is a Children's Corner in the Narthex where kids may play quietly during worship, and busy bags are available for use during the service. For more spirited play, there is a nursery upstairs across the hall from the Sunday School room where parents can supervise play.
Right now, we are having a children's sermon as a part of each of our online worship services. Ordinarily, when we're worshipping in-person, Sunday School is provided for kids ages 3 and up by Mark Mizelle who has a background as a K-12 teacher. Sunday School begins after the children's sermon during worship. Children are then led upstairs by Mr. Mark, to the classroom to explore the week's lesson through song, story, and craft. The children are then brought back to the sanctuary before communion to rejoin their families. Children are encouraged to join the congregation during the celebration of communion. It is God's table; all are welcome.
We generally offer a gathering of some sort every month for our families and children to get together. Examples of past events include a Joseph Tie-Dye Party, a Car Parade visiting some of our homebound members, and a School Supply Drive. Sign up for our newsletter to hear about the soonest upcoming event.
