We love when you bring your little, and not so little, ones to church! Children, their squirms, and joyful noise, are a welcome addition to the worship experience. There is a Children's Corner in the Narthex where kids may play quietly during worship, and busy bags are available for use during the service. For more spirited play, there is a nursery upstairs across the hall from the Sunday School room where parents can supervise play.
During these summer months, Sunday School is being provided for kids ages 3 and up by Mark Mizelle who also serves as our Treasurer and has a background as a K-12 teacher. Between September and May, a Sunday School is provided by Wendy Pagels. Sunday School begins after the children's sermon during worship. Children will be led by teacher Wendy Pagels upstairs, to the classroom from the sanctuary, to explore the week's lesson through song, story, and craft. The children will be brought back to the sanctuary before communion to rejoin their families. Children are encouraged to join the congregation during the celebration of communion. It is God's table; all are welcome.
Special Children's Service
Every 5th Sunday, our worship service will be designed especially for children.
